The game is on your C drive by default, and location should look something like this: C:Program FilesBlizzardWorld of Warcraft_classic_. So download your addons of choice and get started.
ZIP files, extracting them, and tossing them into your game’s install location.
The easiest way to install addons is the manual route. There’s a whole list of them that will help you do quests, level up, raid, and more. no invite yet.WoW Classic is just about to launch, and if you want to play without many roadblocks to your journey, you should download and install some addons. I'd love to try these addons out.oh wait. Great resource Mike / Valimonde - will pop back there nearer launch and work out what addons I want to use in Classic :) Comment by Valadicio on T15:59:50-05:00 It's all a bunch of platitudes, you'll learn to just scroll past those comments :PĪlso: Balance the specs so I can play prot paladin! Comment by FleckerMan on T14:40:27-05:00 The purists demand purity of the game even though they claim it was the community that made vanilla what it was too. I'll definitely be using addons because I won't be playing classic with my older brother this time around to carry me, lol. Idk how long you've been around, but welcome to the Classic wow community. Smart people usually use any tool that help them achieve their goals. Using just old retail videos, you can see how "authentic" and 'addon free" are. Don't think anyone force you to use them, and I'm pretty sure many will enjoy them. I am pretty sure there were no add-ons ready for WOW from the start.įorcing your vision of authenticity upon others, how quaint. I think Blizzard should block all add-on for the first year of Classic. Really appreciate the reply & reading the feedback! I think if some sites could be whitelisted (like the distribution ones) or the color changed on the alert to something more soothing like green, it would be great. I will add it to my list of things to address. I will think about the color choice as it seems to made you think we were indicating that Wowinterface is some sort of malware site. The sole purpose of the "leaving the site" warning is to in plain text show you the URL you are navigating too. Our mindset is Addon developers and our users first then the distribution sites second. Will It Classic is a community-driven effort to help track the addons AND support the distribution sites the addons can be found and downloaded from. The warning is a warning for ALL links coming off our site. In fact, it gives a red pop-up warning, almost looking like a malware alert, when you try to navigate off the site to download it :( At the WoW interface link, you can also learn about the changelog directly and get Installation help. We'd like to do in-depth spotlights on why certain add-ons are useful, and you can't download the addons from Will it Classic directly. In orange all addons wow classic compatible.
